AND ITS USE IS SO COMMON AND SO REGULAR THAT EVEN THE WORD TENSION MUST B GETTING TENSED AND TIRED..HOWEVER IT MUST BE FEELING PROUD OF ITS POPULARITY…

BUT ONE POSITIVE ASPECT OF TENSION IS THAT IT PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY FOR MATURITY…

ERUPTION OF A SOCIAL VOLCANO

The movement for Jan Lokpal Bill is not just a movement for a strong lokpal.No doubt this movement started for the above said objective but gradually it has culminated into a movement and reaction of common people against corruption and infact government too.It seems like it has become People Vs Govt. It is an Eruption of Social Volcano the vent of which has been provided by Anna Hazare.

This eruption is after 37 years ie. After the Sampoorna Kranti of Jayprakash Narayan against the issue of corruption and ironically that time also it was the same congress that was in power.

This social volcano was dormant but was not dead.Anger, reaction, dissatisfaction was there in the society against this multi hydra headed monster of corruption but the reaction was not organized and erupting. Anna provided the way, the leadership and the motivation to the people and the result is evident in the form of protest by the common people.

Now there is a common feeling in the heart of the people that if Anna looses this war it will not be the defeat of Anna but it will be the personal loss of the people.This is the main reason that mass is connecting with Anna by its own and supporting this movement.

Hats off to Anna….We are lucky to have a person like him today…

Kill Corruption otherwise it will kill u…

 This is not just a date but a beginning which have the potential to create a wave of revolution…yes friends this is the date on which Anna hazare and his team has decided to offer Satyagrah at Jantar Mantar New delhi against the devil of corruption which is eroding the entire system of our country day by day.

Actually the decision to offer Satyagrah was taken on 9^th of august 2011.This is an ironic coincidence as it was 9^th of august 1942 when Gandhiji gave the call for Quit India Movement.

However the objective of both the decision was different but the core is same and it is removal of an oppressive and unjust govt.

So friends lets support this movement…….

What is Lokpal ?

Dear friends...there has been a huge wave of discussion about lokpal and lokpal bill which has engulfed the entire nation.Everyone in this country is talking about lokpal.Lets know what exactly lokpal  is...

Lokpal is an ombudsman institution which is influenced by the Swedish system.The institution of Ombudsman was first created in Sweden in 1809.The literal meaning of ombudsman is "a person who acts as the representative or spokesman of another person".In general ombudsman refers to an officer appointed by the legislature to handle complaints against political and  administrative action or corrupt practices.

Thus lokpal is an institution to fight against the administrative and political corruption.
Now the next major issue is why there is a need of Lokpal when we already have other instituions like Central Vigilance Commission,CBI etc to fight against corruption.
The answer is the institution of lokpal will be different from the existing institutions in terms of autonomy and independence which simply means lokpal will work freely and independently and on suo moto in cases related to corruption and will be an institution with sharp teeth to fight against corruption.

However it would be wrong to except that lokpal will be a magical institution and will be able to wipe out corruption from the administrative system.It will use the same police machinery,same investigation machinery which are being used by other agencies.We have Lokayukta in states which is a form of lokpal in states and its painful to say that the contribution of lokayukta in states in fight against corruption is negligible.We can though expect that installation of lokpal will be a positive step towards the fight against corruption.
So lets support this positive institution of lokpal and the lokpal bill and the performance of lokpal can be analysed and discussed only after it is created and start functioning.

Is this a democracy?

Nation has witnessed the irresponsible and autocratic behaviour of the govt. in Ramlila ground against Baba Ramdev and his followers.Our constitution gives us the right for peaceful assembly and right to speech under fundamental rights.How can a govt. ruthlessly suppress a peaceful Satyagrah that too on such a noble cause of corruption.The action of govt. indicates the seriousness level of the governmental machinery against corruption and black money.It seems they are very much afraid against the mechanisms and steps against corruption.
